Description: Job ID: AF9415-0950-1920 Position Classification: FT Administrator Position Summary: The McAuley School of Nursing at the University of Detroit Mercy seeks a highly organized and collaborative Clinical Coordinator for the nursing program. This professional staff position plays a critical role in coordinating clinical placements to ensure high-quality experiential education that meets programmatic, accreditation, regulatory, and safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Clinical Coordination:

  • Coordinate and manage clinical placements for nursing students.
  • Collaborate with faculty to identify student clinical requirements and placement needs.
  • Maintain relationships with clinical agencies and preceptors to support student learning.
  • Manage student onboarding and compliance using clinical placement databases.
  • Maintain accurate clinical site, preceptor, and student placement records.
  • Coordinate clinical orientations and preceptor communications.

Administrative Support:

  • Assist with documentation, handbooks, and learning management system resources related to clinical education.
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate electronic evaluations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Experience in clinical coordination.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education or healthcare administrative experience.
  • Experience with database management such as Typhon, ACEMAPP or similar systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping. Occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 10 pounds).
  • Work Environment: Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.

Salary/Pay Information:

  • Commensurate with experience
  • Anticipated Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Some evening or weekend hours may be required based on program needs.
