    Job Description

    TruEnergy Federal Credit Union, a $125+ million credit union located in Springfield, Virginia, is seeking a Member Service Representative (MSR I) to join our branch team.

    The MSR I serves as a primary point of contact for our members, providing friendly, knowledgeable service in person and by phone. This position assists members with daily transactions, opens and maintains accounts, answers questions about products and services, and identifies solutions that meet members’ financial needs. The role also supports the lending process by interviewing members, accepting loan applications, and assisting with loan processing.

    Major Duties & Responsibilities

    • Member Service – Greet and assist members in a professional, courteous manner, providing prompt and accurate service in person and by phone.
    • Transaction Processing – Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, cash advances, money orders, cashier’s checks, and other member transactions.
    • Account Services – Open and maintain member accounts, process account changes, order checks, assist with certificates, and provide account and membership information.
    • Member Support – Research and resolve account questions, discrepancies, and other routine member service needs.
    • Products & Services – Identify member needs and recommend appropriate products and services based on conversations, account relationships, and available information.
    • Cash Handling & Balancing – Maintain and balance an assigned cash drawer, complete daily settlement, identify and correct discrepancies, and support branch cash operations.
    • Lending Support – Assist members with loan applications and support loan processing as needed.
    • Compliance – Follow all applicable credit union policies and procedures and federal and state regulatory requirements, including BSA and OFAC.
    • Team Support – Assist with training new employees and provide support to other areas, including the call center, as needed.
