Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated and organized Mobile Service Specialist to join a dynamic team in California. This role focuses on supporting daily transportation operations, coordinating service schedules, and ensuring timely and efficient service delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in transportation and dispatch, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate in a fast-paced work environment, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Handle a high volume of phone calls and email correspondence.
- Utilize MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, proficiently.
- Apply transportation and dispatching knowledge, including DOT Hours, to daily operations.
- Dispatch drivers to various assignments, matching them to orders based on their skill sets.
- Communicate and coordinate with clients regarding orders, driver issues, payroll, and billing matters.
- Address payroll discrepancies with drivers and communicate resolutions to the payroll department.
- Arrange travel for CDL drivers, including airfare, car rentals, and hotel bookings, and confirm arrangements with drivers.
- Cross-train on all functions of mobile expenses and collaborate with the Expense Manager to resolve billing issues.
- Maintain daily and weekly communication with Payroll and the Expense Manager on any hotel or car rental issues.
- Monitor and manage a shared inbox, ensuring timely responses and organization.
- Input airfare receipts and upload them into the tracking system daily.
- Participate in the "On-Call" Weekend Dispatch rotation as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; two years of customer service experience or equivalent combination preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in transportation or transportation staffing preferred.
- 2+ years of customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and success in delivering results through the actions of others.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to persuade an audience.
- Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with a diverse employee population.
- Strong problem-solving and judgment skills.
- Desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Valid driver's license and a car that can be used for work.
Required Work Hours
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
- Must be available for overtime as needed.
- Must be open to working occasional weekends based on operational needs.
- Participates in the on-call weekend dispatch rotation when scheduled.

Additional Details
