Muldrow, OK - Production & Distribution Superintendent | 2nd Shift

Summary: Meets with Plant Manager on production and distribution activities and changes. Meets with production and distribution supervisors to relay all pertinent information about production schedules, changes and employee policy changes. Reviews to make sure production standards are being met. Assists supervisors in handling people issues. Coordinates and interacts with all other department heads. Acts in place of Plant & Distribution Manager when he/she is unavailable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages 6 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 90 employees in Production and Distribution. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must receive HACCP certification.
