Job Title: MuleSoft Architect – Guidewire Integration (Insurance Domain)
Location: Fort Wayne, IN (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Architect with strong expertise in Guidewire integration and Insurance domain knowledge. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. Experience with SmartCOMM (Smart Communications) is highly preferred to support customer communication management integrations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performing integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  • Lead end-to-end integration architecture involving Guidewire (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) with enterprise systems.
  • Define API-led connectivity approach and establish best practices for reusable assets and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Implement integration patterns for real-time, batch, and event-driven architectures.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, security, and governance policies.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across multiple environments.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipeline setup and deployment automation.
  • Support performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization of APIs and integrations.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in MuleSoft architecture.
  • Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (API Manager, Runtime Manager, CloudHub).
  • Proven experience integrating Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
  • Strong knowledge of Insurance domain (P&C preferred).
  • Experience in designing RESTful APIs, Microservices, and API-led architecture.
  • Expertise in data formats like JSON, XML, RAML, and DataWeave.
  • Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, JMS) and integration patterns.
  • Strong understanding of security protocols (OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSL).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SmartCOMM (Smart Communications) for customer communication management and integration with Guidewire/MuleSoft.
  • MuleSoft deployment experience on CloudHub and Hybrid environments.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Certifications:

  • MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect or MuleSoft Certified Developer (Preferred)

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead architecture discussions and provide strategic direction.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to document generation and communication platforms integrated with SmartCOMM.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise transformation programs.
