THE WORK

Lockheed Martin's Calypso program is seeking a talented Engineering Manager with a TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance to work from an OCONUS location. The Engineering Manager will perform mission engineering management duties for LM Space's franchise Operations program.

Calypso is an expat multi contractor program supporting operations and maintenance at a large-scale RF Communication site across multiple systems with varying degrees of interaction. The manager will be part of a multi-contractor team of hardware and system engineers.

The position requires a 2yr commitment on site beginning upon initial relocation. The selectee will possibly perform pre-deployment training and preparation at several Washington, DC area LM programs.

Primary responsibility will be to provide leadership for the 15+ employee Hardware Engineering team that support across multiple large, integrated, complex hardware-software communication systems in a real-time 24/7 environment. The role will involve frequent interaction and communication across hardware engineering and operations support teams, coordination with leadership responsible for 24x7 operations staff, programmatic leadership across the enterprise, and customer leadership at both sites. Responsibilities of the team include preventative and corrective maintenance support across multiple external interfaces over a robust multi-tiered network. Leadership requires strict adherence to all applicable administrative, safety and security policies.

  • This position leading the Hardware Engineering team will reside at OCONUS site. Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Lead team of LM and subcontractors in support of the mission, ensuring cost/technical/schedule expectations are met
  • Administratively manage 10+ LM employees, including focus on growth/career development
  • Ensure staffing levels are projected and executed to align with cost-plus contract expectations
  • Coordinate efforts/actions with customers, PMO, and E2 stakeholders
  • Focus on process improvement development and execution

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly required for consideration

  • Technical experience with facility support systems for RF ground terminal systems (power, HVAC, etc.)
  • Prior electronics and/or satellite communications training or experience
  • Knowledge of network management, TCP/ICP, Cisco IOS, VMware, scripting, Windows 7, and Microsoft software products
  • IAT Level I or higher certification: A+, Network+, Security+, IAM, etc.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proactive and positive team player with ability to effectively work closely with co-contractor teammates at multiple levels
  • Experience providing Ground Engineering O&M support, RF communication antennas and associated transmit and receive hardware systems, wideband/narrowband applications, signal analysis

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
