Description & Requirements

What's the role?

We're looking for a client-facing Multi-Asset Index Solutions Specialist to help drive the growth and adoption of Bloomberg's index offerings across insurance and annuity markets. This is a highly technical and commercially focused role, ideal for professionals with experience in index structuring, fixed income, or multi-asset product development - particularly in the context of insurance-linked or annuity-based solutions.

You'll act as a key partner to our index sales, relationship management, and product development teams, translating complex index methodologies into structured solutions that serve as the underlying engines of annuity products. Your work will span everything from index design and customization to commercial execution and client engagement with insurance carriers and annuity providers.

You'll be at the forefront of Bloomberg's expanding index business, playing a central role in how our indices are embedded into insurance products - from initial concept through to launch and ongoing support.

We'll trust you to:

  • Lead client engagement with annuity providers and insurance carriers, delivering compelling presentations and clearly articulating how Bloomberg indices can serve as product underpinnings.
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales, relationship managers, and product/research teams to design, modify, and pitch custom index solutions tailored to annuity product structures.
  • Drive commercial outcomes by identifying and closing licensing opportunities across fixed income, multi-asset, and custom index strategies.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on index construction as it applies to insurance product design - including volatility-controlled, hybrid, and rules-based multi-asset strategies.
  • Feed client and market insights back to product development and research teams to shape Bloomberg's index roadmap for the insurance channel.
  • Support strategic planning including competitive analysis, market sizing, and go-to-market execution within the annuity and insurance space.

You'll need to have:

  • 7+ years of experience in index strategy, multi-asset product development, structured products, or institutional sales - with direct exposure to insurance or annuity markets strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of how indices function as underpinnings for annuity and insurance-linked products (FIAs, RILAs, or similar).
  • A track record in business development, client advisory, or revenue generation in a technical, product-adjacent role.
  • Ability to liaise effectively between client-facing teams and quantitative/research functions - translating between commercial needs and technical specifications.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with institutional audiences.
  • Commercial discipline: pipeline management, target accountability, and deal execution.
  • CFA or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in data analysis; familiarity with index analytics or backtesting tools is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel; fluency in English required, additional languages a bonus.
