How You’ll Contribute

• Set up and run CNC turning, milling, and mill-turn equipment to exact customer specifications and tight tolerances.
• Read and apply engineering drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation to build parts right the first time.
• Measure critical features using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision tools; document results completely and accurately.
• Deburr/finish parts per spec and maintain ironclad part identification, traceability, and lot segregation.
• Spot nonconforming material and FOD quickly; segregate and report issues to protect quality.
• Complete travelers, inspection records, and production paperwork aligned to AS9100 and customer requirements.
• Pitch in with final packaging and shipping as needed while keeping your workspace safe and organized.

Lead Opportunity (for qualified candidates)

• Own cell/department scheduling and workflow within turning or milling.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and process challenges to improve consistency and throughput.
• Create/refine CNC programs; support first-article inspections and process validation.
• Coach teammates, share best practices, and champion continuous improvement for quality and efficiency.

Skills & Background

• Professional CNC machining experience in a shop environment.
• Blueprint/engineering drawing literacy.
• Comfort with precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.).
• Detail-driven, quality-focused, and a clear communicator.
• Independent contributor who thrives in a team setting.

Bonus Points

• GD&T proficiency.
• Experience in AS9100-compliant manufacturing.
• Exposure to Brown & Sharpe Micro-Val CMM and CMM Manager.
• Background in setup, programming, troubleshooting, or team leadership.

Education, Reporting, and Work Conditions

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Reports to the Turning or Milling Lead; Lead Machinists report to the General Manager.
• Physical demands include standing, moving, lifting components/materials, and manual dexterity for operation and inspection.
• Work in a clean, organized facility; hearing protection in specified areas and eye protection for designated operations.

Schedule & Overtime

Expect occasional overtime in response to production schedules and business needs.
