As our Multi-Axis Lathe and Grinding Cell Operator, you combine craftsmanship with problem-solving to keep production humming.
Your mission
Transform blueprints into high-quality parts by setting up and operating CNC lathes, manual lathes, grinders, and presses. When something isn’t right, you diagnose quickly, correct decisively, and get the line back on track—safely and efficiently.
What you’ll do
Configure machines for production runs: CNC lathes (including 5+ axis), manual lathes, ID/OD grinders, and stamping/punch presses.
Zero in on optimal machine parameters to meet tight tolerances and production goals.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions to cut downtime.
Apply shop math to calculate dimensions, tolerances, and necessary offsets.
Record production counts, quality checks, and performance data in ERP software.
Communicate status, issues, and needs clearly with your supervisor and team.
Inspect work in-process using calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
Keep the workspace safe, clean, and organized at all times.
What you bring
Experience in a manufacturing setting as a machine operator or similar role.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting capability.
Proficiency in production setups and changeovers.
Solid written and verbal communication.
Comfort with shop math for precise measurement and calculation.
Hands-on time with manual grinders, manual lathes, punch presses, and advanced CNC equipment (5+ axis).
Knowledge of ID and OD grinding and stamping press operations.
Team-focused approach and the discipline to follow work instructions precisely.
