Description Our Emerson Plywood and Veneer manufacturing in Emerson, Arkansas has an opening for a skilled Multi-Craft Level 4 with a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment, process and techniques to safely repair, modify, install and maintain the facility and high-tech manufacturing equipment. The Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems throughout the manufacturing facility. This position ensures that building environmental systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably to support production processes, employee comfort, and regulatory compliance. The pay for this role is $33.93 per hour. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, and ventilation equipment. Troubleshoot and repair air handlers, chillers, cooling towers, window units, mini splits, exhaust fans, make-up air units, and associated controls. Monitor and maintain facility temperature, humidity, and air quality systems. Inspect HVAC systems to identify potential failures and recommend corrective actions. Maintain and repair pneumatic, electric, and electronic control systems. Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions using testing instruments and software. Support energy management and equipment reliability initiatives. Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime. Respond to emergency equipment failures during scheduled and off-shift hours as needed. Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and plant operating procedures. Assist with contractor oversight during HVAC installations, upgrades, and major repairs. Maintain refrigerant handling certifications and comply with EPA regulations.
