    About the Role

    Location: This position will be located in Morrisville, NC and will be an onsite role.Novartis is unable to offer relocation support for this role: please only apply if this location is accessible for you.Key Responsibilities:Lead engineering and maintenance activities to ensure reliability and optimal equipment performanceProvide technical leadership and guidance to operators, technicians, and external partnersDrive preventive and predictive maintenance strategies based on equipment criticalityLead and execute equipment, utility, and facility improvement initiativesManage engineering projects including planning, budgeting, and vendor oversightEnsure all maintenance and engineering activities meet safety and regulatory compliance standardsOversee documentation including maintenance plans, specifications, and engineering recordsEssential Requirements:Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical disciplineMinimum five years of engineering experience in pharmaceutical or chemical industryProven experience leading maintenance programs and technical teamsStrong understanding of equipment lifecycle management and reliability principlesSolid knowledge of good manufacturing practices and quality standardsExcellent communication and leadership skills across cross-functional teamsDesirable RequirementsAdvanced degree in engineering or related disciplineExperience implementing advanced maintenance strategies such as reliability-centered maintenanceNovartis Compensation and Benefit Summary:The salary for this position is expected to range between $98,700 and $183,300 annuallyThe final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits.
