CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Multi-Disciplined Technician I.

 

Type: Contract

Job Title: Multi-Disciplined Technician I

Location: Bedford, MA
Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Bedford, MA

Pay Rate: $24.23/hour - $27.63/hour

Work Hours: Mon-Fri 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. OR 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (may be flexible) – revolving weekends

Description

Join a leading biotechnology manufacturing team as a Multi-Disciplined Technician I supporting reagent production operations. This hands-on role is ideal for candidates with laboratory, biotechnology, or life sciences experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities include buffer preparation, production setup, product manufacturing, ERP transactions, and collaboration with Quality Assurance teams to ensure product quality and compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare buffers and set up production runs.
  • Manufacture products using centrifugation, filtration, dialysis, and buffer extraction processes.
  • Perform production transactions using ERP systems.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to identify and resolve non-conformance issues.
  • Follow established manufacturing procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Support cross-functional production activities and participate in cross-training opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and production records.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in biotechnology, laboratory operations, manufacturing, or life sciences environments preferred.
  • Experience using laboratory equipment and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and become multi-skilled.
  • Ability to work independently after training and adapt to changing production needs.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn ERP systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically active environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of 5S methodologies and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Previous experience in regulated manufacturing or biotechnology environments.

Working Conditions

  • Work in clean rooms, laboratories, and cold rooms ranging from 2°C to -20°C.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Frequent lifting and movement of materials up to 50 pounds.
  • May handle hazardous materials in controlled environments.
