Job Description
Overview Under general supervision, performs routine and specialized diagnostic imaging procedures in at least two imaging modalities.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibility 1: Executes basic clinical competence in general radiology, in all locations across all patient types; in addition, performs exams and procedures as needed in one of the following modalities: CT, MRI, Mammography, Interventional Radiology, Ultrasound, PET CT, and/or Nuclear Medicine in accordance to facility protocols. Selects accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient. Administers contrast according to facility policy.
Key Responsibility 2: Applies knowledge of radiology principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, radiation/MR safety, and physics, patient positioning and patient care skills. Adheres to Joint Commission, State, Federal and departmental regulatory compliance standards.
Key Responsibility 3: Documents accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.
Key Responsibility 4: Ensures a safe and appropriate work environment. Maintains supplies and inventory in area. Informs appropriate colleague when supplies need to be ordered from outside vendors. Documents and reports related equipment/environmental problems in accordance with policy.
Key Responsibility 5: Actively participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives and efforts to improve workflows, patient experience and quality. Actively participates in student and employee training and educational activities.

Qualifications
Education Associate degree, Certificate, or advanced degree in radiologic technology, or modalities of employment, from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Experience Working competency in additional modality Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
Licensures/Certifications Registered with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Certification in one of the following: CT, MRI, Mammography, Ultrasound, PET CT, Nuclear Medicine, or Interventional Radiology Licensed in State of MD in applicable modalities Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification Preferred: Experience 1+ years of clinical experience in at least two modalities
