Position Summary: A Multi-Modality Technologist will perform imaging procedures while adhering to established guidelines and assisting in the training of new technologists; will work under the supervision of the modality supervisory technologist and modality medical director. Performs all technical procedures within their respective modality sections as described in the Radiology Policy Manual. Meets the technical competency requirements for the position. Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities)Multi-Modality Technologist must work as needed in two (2) or more of the modalities below: Angiography, Cardiac Catheterization lab, Computed Tomography, Mammography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Radiography, Ultrasound, Vascular Sonography, and Breast Sonography. Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization.RequiredLicenses/Certifications:Education: High School Diploma, Training in AMA approved school and meets requirements for registry by the ARRT.Experience: 1 year CT experience preferred (hospital experience preferred).Software/Hardware: HIS, RIS and PACS systems.License/Certification: Other: - American Heart Association/American Red Cross BLS Certification Current ARRT registered certification in Radiography with RT(R) and Florida Department of Health X-Ray License.Current CT Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
