About the Role

Picture starting your week with a walk-through of dashboards from three aerospace manufacturing sites. You review preventive maintenance tasks, align facility work with production milestones, and confirm that safety training rolled out by your EH&S Specialist is complete. By midweek, you’re coordinating a heat-treat oven upgrade at one site, inspecting chemical storage at another, and closing out documentation for an NDT lab improvement at the third. That’s the rhythm of this Facilities & Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) leadership role.

Scope of Impact

You’ll ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient environment that supports diverse aerospace processes, including plating, chemical processing, punch press operations, heat treat, blasting, NDT inspection, CNC machining, and assembly.

What You’ll Do

  • Direct facilities and maintenance operations across machine tools, electrical systems, buildings, and grounds—planning, prioritizing, and supervising daily work.
  • Lead and coach maintenance teams performing repairs, modifications, and preventive tasks to keep critical assets running.
  • Build and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs that cut downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Coordinate closely with production to schedule maintenance windows that protect manufacturing throughput and minimize disruptions.
  • Own technical documentation—equipment specifications, diagrams, maintenance histories, and compliance records.
  • Run facilities projects from concept to closeout: equipment installations, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Manage vendors and contractors to deliver safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Oversee EH&S programs to maintain full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state/local regulations.
  • Drive safety practices—policies, procedures, and training—partnering directly with an EH&S Specialist for execution across all operations.
  • Safeguard hazardous materials handling: implement systems for proper storage and disposal, including chemicals used in plating and related processes.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 7+ years in facilities, maintenance, and EH&S within a manufacturing setting.
  • Leadership: Minimum 3–5 years leading teams or supervisors.
  • Industry: Aerospace or other highly regulated environments strongly preferred.
  • Skilled trades knowledge: plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and air conditioning.
  • Systems: Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Working style: Adept at balancing multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
