Multi-Unit Cafe Operations Manager

Requirements:

• Must have flexible availability, including the ability to work varying shifts based on business needs
• Previous management experience is required, preferably in a restaurant, quick-service, retail, or hospitality environment
• Must be dependable, hands-on, and willing to adjust their schedule to support the needs of the team and business

Tropical Smoothie Cafe is looking for a multi-unit cafe operations manager to be the brand ambassador. The Tropical Smoothie Café multi-unit manager should not only embrace the belief, but live the lifestyle that when you eat better, you feel better. We are looking for a driving individual with 3+ years of experience in the food service industry with management level experience.

As the Cafe Operations Manager, you will successfully and effectively manage multiple café operations including: sales performance, customer service, and ensure that your team delivers amazing with every interaction. The Operations Manager will serve as the example for their team to ensure that everyone: acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that further promotes the culture, values, and mission of Tropical Smoothie Café. Proven restaurant management experience required!

The operations manager will be responsible for managing three sites:

• The Colony/Lewisville, TX
• Garland, TX
• Addison, TX (coming soon)

Responsibilities:

• Maintain high standards of food, service, health, and safety, ensure the efficient and profitable business performance of the café and the optimal utilization of staff and resources
• Accountable for all duties in the Café as well as internal control and employee safety
• Responsible for meeting the brand’s standards and procedures
• Set Daily, Weekly, and Monthly operating goals and objectives
• Responsible for the profitability of the store
• Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new Crew Members and Crew Leaders to ensure the café is staffed at the appropriate level.
• Manages and delegates daily functions of the café, including prepping products, making food and smoothies, serving customers, and completing daily and weekly cleaning duties.
• Manages the ordering, inventory, and reconciling invoices for all products.
• Hits sales goals, manages labor, and controls inventory using a inventory program.
• Ensures sanitation practices are being used in handling and preparing food in the kitchen.
• Ensures all safety and security policies are being followed as set by the brand.
• Lead the way by working with each Crew Leader and Crew Member to deliver café controllable Profit and meet targeted goals in the café
• Accountable for coaching and training store leadership teams to maximize operational excellence.
• Supports training initiatives, is involved in the process for new employee orientation and monitors training processes to ensure quality training of team members.
• Ensures maintenance of equipment, facility, and grounds through the use of a preventative maintenance program
• Ensures food quality and 100% customer satisfaction

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift. Bending, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice or taking out trash. Constant face-to-face interactions with crew members and customers. Safely navigate in a fast-paced café environment. Ability to multi-task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions.
