Multicraft Mechatronics Technician (Automation & Utilities) — Manchester, PA

Role Snapshot

• Maintain, inspect, repair, and adjust production machinery and facility systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC issues.
• Jump on emergency calls to restore equipment quickly and safely.
• Create and maintain accurate records: work orders, PMs, and equipment history.
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, testing, and startups.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality to elevate reliability and performance.
• Champion continuous improvement; propose process and equipment enhancements.
• Support plant shutdowns, changeovers, and special initiatives.
• Keep work areas organized, clean, and compliant with standards.
• Adhere to all safety, food safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

Qualifications

Must Have

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial/food production.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting ability.
• Knowledge across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.
• Blueprint, wiring diagram, schematic, and technical manual literacy.
• Comfort with hand/power tools, precision measuring tools, and diagnostics.
• Self‑starter with solid organization; collaborative team player.
• Flexibility to work OT, weekends, and holidays as required.

Nice to Have

• Education/training: Maintenance, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology, or related.
• Experience with PLCs, automation, VFDs, robotics, and industrial controls.
• Skilled trade certifications (Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Welding, etc.).
• Food manufacturing background and GMP knowledge.

Physical & Environmental Expectations

• Active role: standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing for most of the shift.
• Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Work at heights and within confined spaces when required.
• Consistent use of PPE.

Manufacturing setting with exposure to moving equipment, temperature swings, noise, and industrial chemicals. Safety comes first—follow all company safety, food safety, quality, and environmental standards.
