Position Overview
The Investment Associate will play a key role in supporting the firm's multifamily acquisition efforts, working closely with senior leadership to source, underwrite, evaluate, and execute investments. This role is highly analytical and transaction-oriented, requiring a self-starter who can manage multiple deals simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. The Investment Associate will collaborate with asset management, operations, and finance teams to ensure a seamless transition from acquisition through ownership and execution of the business plan.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in sourcing and evaluating new multifamily acquisition opportunities across target markets
Perform detailed financial underwriting, including cash flow projections, sensitivity analyses, and valuation modeling
Analyze market fundamentals, demographics, and submarket trends to support investment theses
Prepare investment memoranda and present acquisition opportunities to senior leadership and investment committees
Support due diligence efforts, including:
Review of financial statements, rent rolls, and operating reports
Coordination with third-party consultants, lenders, and legal counsel
Assist in negotiating purchase agreements, debt financing terms, and equity structures
Provide analytical support on dispositions and recapitalizations as needed
Collaborate with asset management and operations teams to support post-acquisition execution and transition
Maintain deal pipeline tracking and reporting to senior leadership
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, investments, or transaction-focused roles
Direct experience with multifamily properties strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree required (finance, real estate, economics, or related field preferred)
Strong financial modeling and investment analysis skills
Experience supporting or managing real estate transaction processes
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively across teams while independently managing deadlines and priorities
