Multifamily Construction Project Manager - North Jersey

A well-established General Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multifamily construction projects throughout North Jersey. The ideal candidate will have experience managing ground-up apartments, mixed-use developments, or other large residential projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Description

Manage ground-up multifamily projects from award through completion.

Oversee project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and procurement.

Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.

Lead owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings.

Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams.

Review drawings and specifications for scope and constructability.

Track project costs, forecasts, and payment applications.

Manage subcontractor contracts and scopes of work.

Monitor project schedules and resolve potential delays.

Oversee punch list, turnover, and final project closeout.

Maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

Profile

5+ years of construction Project Management experience.

Ground-up multifamily construction experience strongly preferred.

Experience with apartments, mixed-use, residential, or similar developments.

General Contractor experience preferred.

Strong budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor management skills.

Ability to read architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.

Experience with Procore or similar construction management software.

Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree preferred.
