Description

The Multifamily Construction Superintendent will:

  • Lead the on-site team from construction start through project closeout
  • Proactively identify and help remedy design deficiencies, schedule concerns, and other project-specific issues
  • Communicate and interpret contract scope to the entire site management team
  • Conduct preconstruction meetings with subcontractors prior to each phase of work
  • Create, maintain, and update project production schedules
  • Review and assist in developing scopes of work for subcontractors
  • Administer and enforce the project's Quality Control Plan
  • Review and approve invoices, requisitions, and subcontractor progress payments
  • Enforce safety protocols to ensure the jobsite consistently adheres to OSHA standards
  • Supervise and evaluate field personnel while maintaining a positive and productive work environment
  • Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
  • Maintain project documentation including daily reports, RFIs, and change order logs
  • Communicate regularly with owners, project managers, architects, and construction teams to ensure project milestones are achieved

Profile

The Multifamily Construction Superintendent should have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a Commercial or Multifamily General Contractor
  • Experience leading ground-up multifamily construction projects
  • OSHA certification preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large project teams and multiple subcontractors
  • Knowledge of construction scheduling, quality control, and safety requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Experience with apartments, mixed-use, student housing, or senior living projects preferred
