    Description

    This is contingent upon award. A secret security clearance is required.

    The CONUS Biometric Field Systems Technician supports the installation, maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of Biometric Collection Capability (BCC) systems across military installations. This role involves direct field support for biometric hardware and software systems, ensuring reliable performance in both mobile and static environments in support of Army Total Package Fielding (TPF) and associated lifecycle sustainment activities. Travel is required.

     Key Responsibilities:

    • Install, configure, and field BCC devices at various military locations, including mobile and fixed-site systems.
    • Support Army Total Package Fielding (TPF) activities, including New Equipment Fielding (NEF), New Equipment Training (NET), Platform Integration (PI), and Technical Field Support.
    • Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs of biometric hardware and software systems to ensure optimal performance.
    • Provide on-site and remote technical support to end users, including responding to help desk tickets, phone calls, and email requests.
    • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware technical issues across biometric collection systems and supporting infrastructure.
    • Assist in the collection, processing, and management of biometric data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
    • Maintain detailed and accurate records of installations, maintenance actions, repairs, and system configurations.
    • Deliver user training on the operation and maintenance of biometric equipment to ensure effective system utilization.
    • Travel to CONUS and OCONUS military installations and field locations as required to support deployments and sustainment operations.
    • Support data entry, system updates, and operational reporting using Android and Windows-based systems.
    • Utilize knowledge of databases and networking fundamentals to support system connectivity and performance.
    • Must adhere to the company's AS9100 and QMS policies, procedures and guidelines.
    • Other duties as assigned. 

    Required Qualifications:

    • Experience supporting Army Total Package Fielding (TPF) processes, including NEF, NET, PI, and Technical Field Support.
    • Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing electronic and mechanical systems.
    • Proficiency in operating Android and Windows-based systems.
    • Experience with data entry, technical documentation, and help desk/ticketing systems.
    • Knowledge of basic networking concepts and database systems.
    • Familiarity with biometric technologies, including fingerprint, iris, facial, and voice recognition systems.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills for both software and hardware environments.
    • Ability to travel frequently to support field operations.
    • Secret security clearance.

     Additional Qualifications:

    • Experience supporting military or government biometric systems or other mission-critical fielded systems.
    • Familiarity with mobile biometric collection devices and ruggedized field equipment.
    • Experience providing end-user training in operational environments.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline or two (2) additional years of relevant experience.
    • Seven (7) years of relevant experience providing technical support.
