The Germantown School District is looking for a Multilanguage Learner Aide Aide to work at our elementay schools. This position is considered part-time/school year.
Position Summary:
The Multilingual Learner (ML) Aide provides instructional and language support to students whose primary language is not English. Working under the supervision of licensed teachers and administrators, the ML Aide assists multilingual learners in developing English language proficiency while supporting academic achievement across content areas. The aide helps create an inclusive learning environment that values students'' linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide instructional support to multilingual learners in individual, small-group, and classroom settings.
Assist students with understanding classroom assignments, directions, and academiccontent.
Reinforce English language development skills, including listening, speaking, reading,and writing.
Support implementation of instructional plans developed by the classroom teachers and multi-language learner teachers.
Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teachers and ML staff.
Help facilitate communication between school staff, students, and families when appropriate and within district guidelines.
Encourage student engagement, participation, and positive social interactions.
Maintain confidentiality of student records and information in accordance with district policies and state and federal regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
