Job Description:

Laurel Ridge Community College is looking for a Multimedia Content Specialist to serve as our primary photographer and videographer: the person behind the lens capturing everyday life across our campuses. This is a hands-on, camera-in-hand role. You'll be out and about every day documenting our students, faculty, and staff, the energy of campus life, and the special events that make Laurel Ridge a community.

If you love the craft of visual storytelling, framing the perfect shot, catching a candid moment, professionally editing photographs and video, and turning raw footage into content people can't scroll past...this job was made for you! You will deliver fresh photo and video content on a daily basis for our social media, marketing campaigns, recruitment efforts, and institutional communications, giving you a constant creative outlet and a real hand in how Laurel Ridge shows up to the world.

One morning you might be photographing a nursing lab or a welding demo; that afternoon, a student success story or a portrait session; the next week, a special event, a groundbreaking, or a big college celebration.

Purpose of the position: Produces high-quality photography, video, and multimedia content that advances Laurel Ridge Community College's marketing, recruitment, and institutional communication goals. The Multimedia Content Specialist shoots, edits, and creates photo and video content using industry-standard software to craft compelling visual stories tailored to diverse audiences and platforms for marketing campaigns, college events, academic programs, and student success stories. This position also maintains the college's digital media asset library, coordinates with outside contributors and vendors, and ensures all work adheres to brand, accessibility, and copyright standards.

Note: All candidates are required to submit an online portfolio. Please include a link to your online portfolio of photography and videographer work. This can either be a website or a shared folder (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc) with samples of your work.
