Purpose and Impact:

The Multimedia Content Strategist is a digital-first storyteller responsible for capturing, creating and distributing high-quality multimedia content that shows the impact of LSF’s more than 65 programs across the state. This position serves as the organization's primary content producer, leveraging photography, videography and graphic design to increase awareness, engagement, fundraising support, recruitment efforts and community partnerships. The Multimedia Content Strategist will build and maintain a comprehensive digital asset library of professional photos, videos, testimonials and program footage that can be utilized across communications, development and operational initiatives. 

This position is eligible for remote or hybrid work; however, candidates must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace. The company reserves the right to modify the work arrangement at any time based on business needs. Employees may be required to attend occasional in-person meetings or events and must reside in a location where the company is legally authorized to operate and conduct business. Time zone alignment and work hour expectations may apply depending on the team's location.

Essential Functions:

• Develops and executes the organization's multimedia content strategy; independently determines content priorities, messaging approaches, distribution channels, and audience engagement strategies; analyzes performance data and recommends changes to communications strategy.
• Films client success stories, photographs events, designs social media graphics, edits short-form videos and develops content strategies that align with organizational priorities.
• Serves as LSF's lead multimedia content creator, producing high-quality photography, videography, graphic design, and digital content that supports organizational goals.
• Using strategic and independent creative decision-making, develops and maintains a statewide digital content library consisting of professional photos, videos, B-roll footage, testimonials, program imagery, branded graphics and other visual assets representing LSF's 65+ programs.
• Independently identifies stories and determines how to tell them; travels to LSF locations, events, and program sites throughout Florida to capture compelling stories, interviews, photography, and video content that showcase program impact and organizational mission.
• Produces short-form and long-form video content for social media, websites, fundraising campaigns, recruitment initiatives, donor engagement and internal communications.
• Conducts interviews and develops original narratives for human-centered success stories that highlight the impact of LSF services on children, families, and communities.
• Creates engaging graphics, infographics, presentations, digital advertisements and marketing collateral that align with LSF brand standards and can be used across social media, internal platforms, the website, development appeals and more.
• Develops and executes content strategies across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and emerging digital platforms to increase audience engagement and brand awareness.
• Manages content calendars and coordinates content production schedules to ensure a consistent flow of high-quality content across all LSF brands.
• Produces paid and organic digital campaigns that support recruitment, fundraising, program awareness, community engagement and organizational growth.
• Monitors industry trends, platform updates, emerging technologies, AI-assisted content tools, and digital best practices to keep LSF at the forefront of nonprofit digital storytelling.
• Tracks and analyzes digital content performance, social media metrics, video engagement and campaign effectiveness to inform future content strategies.
• Operates autonomously and without constant supervision, subject to occasional check-ins and final content review by Director of Communications, as appropriate.
• Performs Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements / Environmental Conditions:

• Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed to perform job duties and operate photography, video, and computer equipment.
• Requires sufficient manual dexterity to operate cameras, recording equipment, computers, and related technology.
• May occasionally lift, carry, and transport equipment and materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Requires the ability to maintain visual and auditory attention necessary for photography, videography, interviews, editing, and other multimedia production activities.
• Requires the ability to travel statewide and work for extended periods in various settings.
• Work is performed in office, community, outdoor, and other field environments throughout the state. May be exposed to varying weather conditions, uneven terrain, noise, crowds, and other environmental conditions associated with field-based photography, videography, interviews, and community events.
• Requires frequent statewide travel, including occasional overnight travel, and may require work outside normal business hours, including evenings or weekends, based on events, interviews, or content-production needs.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Film Production, Visual Communications, or a related field required.

Experience:

• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in content creation, digital marketing, social media management, videography, photography, graphic design, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience creating high-quality digital content including photography, video production, graphic design, social media content, marketing materials, and written storytelling.
• A portfolio demonstrating photography, videography, graphic design, social media content, and digital storytelling capabilities is required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to travel up to 20% time across Florida (statewide) as needed.
• Ability to work in Tampa office 1 day a week.
• Requires a Florida Drivers’ License, reliable vehicle and current auto insurance.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Lightroom, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
• Proficiency with Canva, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, and other digital content creation and video editing platforms.
• Strong videography and photography skills, including filming, audio capture, lighting, editing, color correction and post-production.
• Ability to create engaging short-form and long-form video content optimized for social media, websites, digital advertising and marketing campaigns.
• Skill as a highly creative self-starter with strong visual storytelling skills and proficiency in content production tools including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing platforms and emerging digital technologies.
• Knowledge of current social media platforms, trends, best practices and emerging content formats.
• Knowledge of digital marketing principles, content marketing, SEO, social media advertising and audience engagement strategies.
• Ability to analyze content performance metrics and translate data into actionable recommendations.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and with multiple teams.
