Job Summary and Qualifications To perform all radiological procedures as designated in the department policy for radiology technologist. In addition will routinely function in other areas of the imaging department as needed. The technologist will maintain additional registries and continuing education hours when applicable. The will make themselves available to perform duties as required by the area Supervisor. The employee will be able to deliver the highest possible quality care to neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients according to their physical needs and limitations and have an understanding population specific needs. What you will do in this role:Perform all duties outlined in competencies for radiologic technologistPerform all duties and requirements as outlined in department policiesGain the appropriate training and experience for the specialty in which they work.Have a sound understanding of all Radiation and other safety procedures.Responsible for maintaining appropriate license and continuing educationEnsures communication of schedule with supervisors in both base and receiving departments. Preform imaging in multiple areas (diagnostic, OR, fluoroscopy etc.)Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment and upgrades.Remain current in department schedule changes.Keep updated on current protocol changes.Make themselves available for all reasonable requests for services. Ensure both department supervisors are aware of planned time off (PTO)When on call they must be available to be on site within 30 minutes of the call out.Communicate any problems or unusual situations with the supervisor in the appropriate manner.Report any equipment malfunctions and place service call as needed.
