Job Description Summary The Dual Registered Technologist reports to the Imaging Director. Under general supervision, the Radiology and CTMRI or Mammography Dual Registered Technologist performs high-quality RadiologyCTMRI or Mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols on patient populations ranging from neonate through geriatrics for interpretation by a physician.

Operates imaging equipment Radiology and CT MRI or Mammography following radiation safety guidelines based on hospital policy and regulatory requirements. Provides radiographic support for all areas of the Hospital as needed. Position patients accurately for specific anatomic imaging using appropriate immobilization devices when required. Avoids excessive repeated examinations by following guidelines.

Minimum Training and Education

Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology and one year of radiologic experience. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT Computed Tomography and licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association. Must be able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision. Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment. Must be familiar with age-specific criteria.

Required Licensure Certifications Registrations

Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT Computed Tomography and licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association.

Current Basic Life Support BLS required either a certification from an American Heart Association AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or AHA recognized equivalent or an American Red Cross CPRAED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Proactively maintains and renews ARRT state license BLS PPD respirator fit test and POC training.
