Join Our Team as a Service Line Leader at ARRO Consulting! This position is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing one of ARRO’s service lines by setting strategic direction, driving business growth, and ensuring excellence in technical delivery and operational performance. The Service Line Leader provides leadership across technical, project management, and administrative teams while maintaining accountability for business unit performance, profitability, and long-term sustainability. The Service Line Leader works collaboratively across business units, regional offices, and business functions to support integrated service delivery and alignment with ARRO’s strategic objectives. This role also serves as a key leader in promoting ARRO’s core values of accountability, collaboration, health and safety, trust, and integrity throughout all aspects of the organization. This position reports to the General Manager. Essential Job Responsibilities - Develop and execute strategic growth plans aligned with ARRO’s long-term business objectives and market initiatives.
- Maintain responsibility for Business Unit financial performance, including budget development, forecasting, profitability, backlog, utilization, and KPI tracking.
- Drive operational efficiency and scalability through the development and implementation of effective business processes and procedures.
- Provide leadership and oversight for technical, project management, and administrative staff within the Business Unit.
- Serve as a senior technical advisor to ensure project quality, regulatory compliance, and technical excellence across all deliverables.
- Oversee staffing, project resourcing, and workload planning to support successful project execution and client satisfaction.
- Promote continuous improvement in project management practices, quality assurance/quality control processes, and risk management strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, municipalities, regulatory agencies, and industry partners.
- Partner with Regional Client Managers and firm leadership to identify new markets, services, and growth opportunities.
- Represent ARRO as an industry leader through participation in conferences, professional organizations, and client-facing activities.
- Support employee development through performance management, mentorship, training opportunities, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with the People Team to identify staffing needs, recruitment priorities, and workforce development initiatives.
- Promote a strong culture of safety by reinforcing safe work practices and ensuring employees are trained and supported in maintaining a safe work environment.

Required Skills/Knowledge - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Professional licensure or specialty certification preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering, project delivery, or related professional services.
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership and management experience.
- Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams, managing operational performance, and driving business growth.
- Strong business acumen, financial management, strategic planning, and operational leadership skills.
- Experience managing profit and loss responsibilities, budgeting, forecasting, and performance metrics.
- Strong understanding of project delivery, quality management, risk management, and client service principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and team-building skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate across business units, offices, and functional teams in a matrixed environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable business management systems.
Physical Requirements – Work Environment - Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods while working in an office environment.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and reviewing reports and documents.
- Ability to occasionally travel between office locations, client sites, and industry events.
- Sedentary work involving exertion of up to 10 pounds of force regularly and occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force when lifting materials or equipment.
- Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing reports, reviewing financial data, reading technical documents, and viewing computer screens.
- Ability to operate a laptop, personal computer, motor vehicle, and standard office equipment.
- Work environment primarily consists of office-based work with occasional travel to meetings, project sites, conferences, and industry events.
- Noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
