Job Title Music House Manager Department Performing & Fine Arts Terms and Hours All UPMusic Concerts, approx. 10 per semester. Job Category Student Employment Hourly Wage Portland Metro Minimum Wage ($16.80/hour) Job Summary

The House Manager is expected to actively assist the Director of Music and/or a particular ensemble conductor in any and all ways possible to prepare the Recital Hall or Buckley Center Auditorium for a public concert. The House Manager will be expected to attend the following duties.

Core Duties

Manage the house and lobby at UP concerts as scheduled.

• Pick up trash from floors and seats to maintain appearance of the hall prior to audience arriving
• Give out programs, maintain quiet during the music, act as a public host
• Clean up the lobby after the concert. Collect programs and give to the director
• Other concert related duties as directed by ensemble director or music program director
• Dress appropriately to represent the University and our Department (smart casual).
• Other relevant duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift approximately 25 pounds (musical equipment, chairs, stands, etc.)
• Ability to attend all UPMusic performances
