REQUIRED CRITERIA:
NJ Teacher of Music Certification or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS)
Knowledge of beginning Band & Orchestra pedagogy
Demonstrate basic performance proficiency vocally and also on woodwind, brass, percussion, and string instruments
Ability to coordinate lessons/plans with other district music teachers
Ability to travel between buildings during the school day
Experience working with elementary and middle level students
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to effectively communicate with staff members and parents
PREFERRED CRITERIA:
Accomplished vocalist, woodwind, brass, percussion or sting player
Experience/interest in all areas of music (general, choral, etc.)
Proficient piano skills
Flexibility and the willingness to work with all department colleagues to recruit/retain students K-12
