• REQUIRED CRITERIA:

• NJ Teacher of Music Certification or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS)

• Knowledge of beginning Band & Orchestra pedagogy

• Demonstrate basic performance proficiency vocally and also on woodwind, brass, percussion, and string instruments

• Ability to coordinate lessons/plans with other district music teachers

• Ability to travel between buildings during the school day

• Experience working with elementary and middle level students

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills

• Ability to effectively communicate with staff members and parents

• PREFERRED CRITERIA:

• Accomplished vocalist, woodwind, brass, percussion or sting player

• Experience/interest in all areas of music (general, choral, etc.)

• Proficient piano skills

• Flexibility and the willingness to work with all department colleagues to recruit/retain students K-12
