Qualifications:

NJ Music Certification

Demonstrated success teaching instrumental music, particularly at the secondary education level

Strong organizational skills with experience managing large groups and complex schedules

Proficiency in scheduling tools, communication platforms, and music-specific technology

Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, administration, parents, and community partners

High energy, creativity, and a passion for music education

All alternate route candidates ("Certificate of Eligibility) must show completion of 50 hours of pre-service training through a DOE approved CE educator program prior to being interviewed for a position. The certificate of completion must be uploaded into the AppliTrack portal in order for alternate route candidates to be considered.
