Salary Range: $64,000-$84,000 based off education and years of experience
Job Summary:
To plan and lead school-wide music instruction designed to improve creative skills, motor coordination, and knowledge
and use of instruments and materials. Implement evidence-based behavior intervention plans that include positive behavior intervention and supports and environmental strategies designed to address known antecedents and promote skill acquisition.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Promote a learning environment in which all students thrive; instruction that is tailored to students’ strengths and needs, and prepares students for their next transition.
- Plan and implement differentiated lessons and activities appropriate for individual students’ developmental levels.
- Attend classroom and staff meetings.
- Assist with data collection for IEP goals. Delegate data collection to paraprofessionals and service providers as needed.
- Actively engage parents, guardians, and community partners to promote access to activities.
- Complete required documentation and maintain records.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to meet the needs of individual students across learning environments.
- Maintain inventory of equipment and materials.
- Drive students as necessary for program needs.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- As Laradon is a small employer and employees work in a collaborative, team environment, employee must be physically present in school to perform his/her job functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Training Requirements: - All trainings deemed mandatory by Laradon
- A minimum of 24 hours of approved training annually
- Orientation
- First Aid/CPR
- Safety Care physical management training
- 20 hours of on-the-job training
