Golden Valley Charter Schools is seeking a passionate and creative Music Teacher to inspire students through the transformative power of music, movement, storytelling, and the arts. We are a Waldorf-inspired public charter school community that values whole-child education and fosters creativity, imagination, and joyful learning. Our ideal candidate believes music education is more than performance-it is a vital part of nurturing confidence, cultural appreciation, collaboration, and emotional growth in children. The Music Teacher will work with students in grades 5-8 and help create meaningful musical experiences through singing, rhythm, movement, seasonal celebrations, and performance opportunities that support the developmental needs of students. At Golden Valley, the arts are woven into everyday learning. Teachers are encouraged to bring lessons to life through hands-on, multi-sensory instruction that engages the head, heart, and hands. We are looking for an educator who enjoys building strong relationships with students and families while contributing positively to a collaborative school community. Primary Responsibilities: -Developing and implementing engaging music lessons for elementary and middle school students -Incorporating movement, storytelling, singing, and artistic expression into instruction -Preparing students for seasonal festivals, assemblies, concerts, and celebrations -Differentiating instruction to support diverse learning styles and student needs -Creating a warm, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment -Collaborating with faculty and participating in the life of the school community Skills & Qualifications: -Valid California Single Subject Credential in Music -Experience working with school-aged children -Strong musical background and enthusiasm for teaching -Knowledge of or interest in Waldorf education preferred -Ability to foster creativity, joy, and student engagement through music

Golden Valley Charter Schools is building a teacher pool for the 2026-2027 school year. We are seeking passionate, student-centered educators interested in joining our K-8 programs. As a Public Waldorf School, we do not require a Waldorf Teaching Certificate but do want our candidates to have knowledge of and a respect for the Pedagogy. We do ask that our teachers work towards obtaining the Waldorf Teaching Certificate and our Educational Foundation helps cover the cost for Teachers in the training program. Qualified candidates must hold a valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Music.
