Duties
Demonstrate qualification and competency with area of assigned instruction.
- Effectively communicate content knowledge and applications in area of assigned instruction.
- Design/implement instruction in compliance with prescribed district curriculum and objectives.
- Utilize instructional tools and apply instructional strategy of current best practice.
- Communicate with parents positively, professionally, and regularly including parent teacher
conferencing.
- Engage students in whole group instruction, small group instruction, and individual instruction.
- Establish/maintain standards of student conduct and control required to achieve full participation in all activities.
- Create/maintain an organized, uncluttered workspace with display emphasis on function and content.
- Engage supervisor cooperatively.
- Engage/interacts with colleagues respectfully.
- Maintain/provide records including, but not limited to the evaluation of student performance, with accuracy and according the timeline requested.
- Engage in professional development.
- Participate in school-wide supervision of students during out of classroom activity.
- Participate in staff meetings, district/school committees.
- Participate in student activities by attending, volunteering, sponsoring, or coaching.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Credentials: Valid IL teaching license with proper endorsements
- Education: A minimum of a Bachelors Degree including coursework to meet credential requirements
- Experience: Student Teaching, Internship, or Previous Employment in Teaching Position
- Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds.
Salary/Benefits
$41,333 yearly
