QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Certification:- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field from an accredited institution - Valid Texas teaching certification required in the appropriate content or grade level area Experience:- Strong knowledge of instructional best practices, curriculum standards, and classroom management strategies - Ability to work effectively with diverse students, families, staff, and community partners - Strong instructional, communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:- Ability to use student data and instructional technology tools to monitor progress and improve student learning - Commitment to student growth, academic success, and equitable access to high-quality instruction - Bilingual skills preferredMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:I. INSTRUCTIONAL PLANNING - Develop lesson plans aligned with state standards and district curriculum. - Use assessment data to inform instruction. - Design lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners. II. INSTRUCTION - Deliver engaging instruction that promotes critical thinking and student participation. - Use a variety of instructional strategies to support student learning. - Provide opportunities for student discussion, writing, and problem-solving. III. ASSESSMENT - Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments. - Provide timely feedback to students. - Adjust instruction based on student performance data. IV. CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT - Establish a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment. - Implement classroom management strategies that support learning. V. PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Collaborate with colleagues in professional learning communities. - Participate in professional development and school initiatives. - Communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
