Music Teacher (Multiple Instruments)

Music Teachers: Piano, Voice, Strings, Brass & WoodwindsMusicologie Lakeway | Part-time | $30s/hr+ (W-2)

Musicologie Lakeway opened in November 2025 and we're growing fast. We need teachers who love working with students of all ages and want to teach without the business side of it.

What you'll do

• Teach private lessons (30/45/60 min) to kids and adults, all levels
• Lead the occasional group class and help students get ready for recitals
• Keep families in the loop on progress
• Work with the other teachers and our studio manager

What you need

• A degree in your instrument, or equivalent experience
• Teaching experience, including with kids
• You believe lessons should be fun, encouraging and a safe place to make mistakes
• Weekday afternoon/evening and/or weekend availability
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (we can't sponsor visas)

What you get

• Hourly pay starting in the $30s, based on experience, as a W-2 employee. Unlike studios that pay teachers as 1099 contractors, we pay half of your Social Security and Medicare taxes, you're covered by workers' comp and unemployment insurance, and you don't file quarterly estimated taxes.
