Join Our Team as a Dynamic Music Teacher!

Are you passionate about music and love working with children? Do you thrive in a creative and collaborative environment? We have the perfect opportunity for you at Drought School! This position would also be accompanied with preffered subbing status for those looking to assist beyond the music curriculum as a substitute teacher.

Position: Music Teacher (General Music, Grades 4K-8)

Employment Type: Part-time: .20 FTE

Classes meet every Wednesday, providing a consistent opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead engaging and interactive music classes for students ranging from 4K to 8th grade.
  • Create and implement dynamic lesson plans that cater to various learning styles and musical abilities.
  • Introduce students to a wide range of musical genres, instruments, and cultural influences.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects and school events.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to explore their musical talents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Wisconsin DPI licensure in Music Education preferred.
  • Experience working with elementary and middle school-aged children.
  • Strong musical proficiency and knowledge across different styles and genres.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
