PURPOSE STATEMENT
To create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth in addition to establishing effective rapport with students assigned to the classroom.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's or Master's degree or Doctorate from an accredited college or university.
EXPERIENCE: Academic background and coursework in the discipline of the position to be filled. Successful teaching experience and effective work with elementary school-age students preferred.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES: Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement. Must maintain as current any certification or license listed herein and held at hire date.
CONTINUING EDUCATION/TRAINING: Valid Washington State teaching certificate with relevant endorsement required. Must maintain as current any certification or license listed herein and held at hire date.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Starting Date: 2026-2027 School Year (182 total contracted days)
Salary: $63,912 - $122,620 annual salary. Based on education and experience, Per OEA CBA - 2026-2027 Salary Schedule
Retirement: Pension through the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems
