Why Choose Candor?

At Candor, we’re not just a company—we’re a mission-driven community of educators passionate about making a real difference. Here, your expertise isn’t just appreciated—it’s celebrated. We believe you can serve students meaningfully without sacrificing your work-life balance. Join a supportive team where your growth, well-being, and success take center stage.

What We’re Looking For:

Are you a compassionate Music Therapist ready to empower students and schools? Here's what you’ll need to join our team:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music Therapy from an accredited program.

  • Certification: Active credentials as a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) through the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) or equivalent certification (ACMT, CMT, or RMT).

  • Additional Requirements: Current CPR certification is required.

  • Language Proficiency: Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Your Role:

As a school-based Music Therapist, you’ll bring the power of music to education, helping students overcome barriers and unlock their potential. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct Evaluations: Conduct evaluations to determine the need for specialized therapy services.

  • Communicate Findings: Share evaluation results with parents and district personnel, providing clear and compassionate insights.

  • Develop Interventions: Collaborate with the ARD committee to create targeted, evidence-based therapeutic interventions that enhance student performance, participation, and access to education.

  • Provide Therapy: Plan and deliver music therapy services in alignment with students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Monitor Progress: Collect data and maintain accurate, detailed records of student progress to ensure interventions are effective.

  • Support Teams: Participate in ARD meetings, parent conferences, and other relevant discussions to advocate for and enhance special education programs.

Your unique ability to combine creativity and clinical expertise will make a meaningful difference in students’ lives.
