Job Description: Maintains the safe and efficient operation of the center by monitoring equipment safety. Performs administrative duties, identifies needs and opportunities, and makes recommendations for change to the manager. Conducts assessments and administers music therapy to patients of all ages. Leads individual and group music therapy sessions. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and staff. Participates in team and professional meetings, providing input on patient, family, and staff needs. Attends rounds as needed and assists in program development. Instructs and mentors interns to be effective members of the interdisciplinary team. Conducts effective research studies related to music therapy. Attends department meetings, staff in-services, and community presentations. Provides in-services and presentations to hospital staff. Other duties as assigned. Adheres to the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA scope of practice and competencies.
