Looking for a rewarding job in the education industry? Consider becoming a Musical Theater Teacher at the Allegra School of Music and Arts! In this role, you’ll help students explore their creativity and self-expression through acting, singing, and movement.

Your primary responsibilities will include designing and teaching lesson plans that cover essential musical theater skills—basic musical theater dance steps (a choreographer will join later in the semester for larger group numbers), vocal harmony instruction, and staging and blocking larger scenes. You’ll also guide students through the foundations of musical theater craft, such as cheating out, stage directions, character development, ensemble work, and storytelling. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with our team to produce end-of-semester performances that showcase your students’ growth and talent.

To excel in this role, you should be passionate about theater and teaching young performers. Strong communication and organizational skills are a must, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a creative team.

If you’re looking for a rewarding and dynamic position that allows you to inspire young performers while cultivating their love of the arts, teaching at Allegra may be the perfect fit.
