N Planner Scheduler Senior

Description

The role involves assisting in the design of planned work and design change packages. It includes conducting field walkdowns to identify and analyze corrective and preventative maintenance, modification, and surveillance activities. The position requires defining procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials needed to perform planned work packages and acting as a liaison with the engineering department and/or vendors to coordinate activities.

This position is responsible for the development of computerized critical-path schedules for day-to-day maintenance activities as well as for refueling and maintenance outages. The role also includes preparing and analyzing daily work schedules to optimize equipment availability and client usage, recommending appropriate modifications, publishing daily work schedules, and monitoring progress.

Qualifications

• 11-15 years of technical experience, preferably in a nuclear facility, including planning & scheduling.
• BS degree in Engineering or related physical science preferred.
• Prior relevant military experience may be considered as equivalent.

Relevant Experience

Manages complex scheduling and maintenance plans while providing guidance to junior planners and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Defines procedures, supports constructability assessments, and develops work standards for nuclear maintenance and refueling outages.
• Plans and organizes preventive and corrective maintenance activities for plant equipment and systems.
• Creates clear and concise work instructions that are sequenced in a logical, efficient manner.
• Ensures work instructions are performed in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Reviews and interprets Engineering Change implementation requirements.
• Coordinates with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering on work instruction requirements.
• Supports required testing of updates to new and existing planning and scheduling applications.
• Provides mentorship to junior planner schedulers.

Required Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED
• Experience: 5 years of power plant, construction, military, or similar experience in operations, maintenance, or work management

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
• Trade School Graduate
• Technical Certificate Program

Nuclear Experience

• 5 years of nuclear experience
• 3 years of power plant, construction, military, or similar planning or scheduling experience
