**Job Description** This isn't a pure software sales role. It isn't a pure client success role. It's the best parts of both. As an Opower Sales Executive, you'll partner with some of the most innovative electric and gas utilities across the Western United States and Western Canada. You'll help utility leaders improve customer engagement, drive demand-side management performance, achieve regulatory objectives, and deliver measurable outcomes to millions of customers. You'll join a talented, high-energy, collaborative, and occasionally silly team that cares deeply about our clients, our culture, and winning together. Every day you'll work alongside utility experts, behavioral scientists, product leaders, and customer success professionals who are passionate about transforming how utilities engage their customers. This role is ideal for someone who already understands utility operations, customer programs, demand-side management, regulatory environments, and the unique challenges facing electric and gas utilities. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to utility leaders while helping shape the future of customer engagement across the energy industry. **Responsibilities** **In this role, you will...** - Be a trusted advisor to utility leaders on customer engagement, demand-side management, energy efficiency, demand response, electrification, and customer experience strategies. - Develop meaningful relationships with Director, Manager, and executive-level electric and gas utility leaders across a portfolio of named accounts. - Collaborate with account teams, delivery teams, and Opower leadership to develop and execute strategic account plans. - Become deeply embedded in client organizations by understanding their regulatory environment, customer priorities, operational challenges, and long-term objectives. - Lead conversations that connect Opower's solutions to measurable utility outcomes and customer benefits. - Expand recurring revenue within existing accounts, identify new opportunities, and achieve annual software and services sales goals. - Navigate utility budgeting, procurement, contracting, and regulatory approval processes to efficiently move opportunities from concept to execution. - Represent the voice of the client internally while helping shape the future direction of Opower's customer engagement platform. Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree or equivalent + Experience working within and/or serving electric, water, and/or gas utilities in a sales capacity + 5+ years of enterprise-level sales experience + A successful track record of meeting/exceeding annual sales quotas + The ability to penetrate accounts and meet with stakeholders within accounts at C-suite and LOB + Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle's competitors + Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills + Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills with prospects/customers + The flexibility to travel as needed Disclaimer: **Certain U.S. based or U.S. customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization/occupational health mandates, and/or drug testing requirements.** **Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only** US: Hiring Range in USD from: $112,400 to $194,400 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 45/55 - 50/50. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
