Responsibilities and Tasks:
Encourage growth through industry connectivity
Prepare relevant curriculum for competency-based instruction
Develop and maintain current program and course outlines, goals, and objectives
Align class curriculum with industry standards
Administer Utah State Board of Education skills tests when teaching secondary students
Actively assist in accreditation processes
Advise, evaluate, and record student processes
Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in respective industry
Maintain certifications, licensures and accreditation standards for program area
Assist with student recruitment, retention and job placement efforts
Create, support, and maintain an active Occupational Advisory Committee and industry partnerships
Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training area
Foster a productive learning environment
Encourage and exemplify professionalism and good work habits
Request and maintain supplies and equipment inventories
Propose required budget and purchase requests; follow purchasing guidelines
Prepare and maintain all required documentation and administrative reports
Maintain the inventory, equipment and daily operations of the UBTech Salon
Performs other related duties as assigned
This is a full-time/exempt, benefited position.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
A valid Utah Nail Technician Instructor's License
Two (2) years of demonstrated relevant industry experience
Proficient in computer applications
Demonstrate ability to maintain excellent customer relationships
Demonstrate ability to follow various processes and procedures
Must successfully pass criminal background check
Valid driver's license
Work Location: Vernal Campus
Work Schedule:
Day Instructor - Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm
Evening Instructor - Monday-Friday 1:00pm-9:00pm
