Position Overview

The National Business Director coordinates the national training efforts and spearheads fulfillment readiness and ongoing execution across retina and ophthalmology markets for a first in class therapy. They will also partner with key accounts nationally to deliver science-driven sales engagement and coordinate with sales leadership to deliver a coordinated launch strategy.

This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, and Market Access to build high impact training and ensure exceptional patient-centric ECP engagement. The Director brings biopharma expertise, customer partnership experience, strong problem-solving skills and a proven track record of leading high performing teams in complex and evolving markets. Additional responsibilities include analyzing treatment trends and partnering effectively with both internal teams and external healthcare stakeholders including patient advocacy groups to support patient identification and education.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Impact

• Coordinate training for the field sales team in collaboration with contracted agency
• Develop and lead ongoing fulfillment training for new therapy in low prevalence market
• Partner with key account stakeholders nationally in non-IRD centers to create treatment protocols and create Centers of Excellence
• Collaborate with advocacy groups to support patient identification and education
• Identify growth opportunities through market insights and performance indicators
• Collaborative peer-partner of sales leadership team

Education and Execution

• Design fulfillment training for field-based teams partnering with agency on training delivery
• Hone patient identification strategy in key accounts to align on education and treatment
• protocols in non-IRD centers
• Leverage data driven analytics that inform field support in the key accounts
• Ensure deep understanding of rare disease patient journeys and diagnostic pathways  within key accounts
• Support advocacy group efforts for patient initiatives and disease awareness
• Promote a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, agility, and innovation Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Align with Sales and Market Access teams on reimbursement, patient services, and payer strategies when developing field training for product fulfillment and staff education
• Provide field insights based on customer interaction and performance indicators to

inform field strategy and planning

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 12+ years of progressive experience in biopharma, including leadership roles
• 10+ years of experience leading diverse sales teams with a proven track of exceeding revenue growth at multiple levels
• Experience in rare disease, specialty pharma, or orphan drug markets – eyecare      preferred
• Demonstrated success in product launches and customer development
• Deep understanding of office staff roles and education to support fulfillment in the face of access challenges

Preferred

• Knowledge of rare disease ecosystems and patient identification
• Experience working with specialty distribution models and complex reimbursement environments.
• Strong relationships with opinion leaders (KOLs) and rare disease networks.
• Experience in retina or ophthalmology markets
• Leadership experience in startup environment is a plus

Travel Requirements

• Extensive travel. Willing to travel domestically up to 50% of the time, including overnights, internal meetings, field time, and conventions.

Salary Disclosure

Pay Range: $280,000 – $335,000 USD (Salary offered will depend on candidate location, market rate adjustments, skills, and relevant experience).

Belite Bio provides a competitive total compensation package that includes base salary, annual incentive bonuses, equity participation, and a full benefit package (health, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off).
