Job Title: National Industrial Generator Sales Representative

Compensation: $90,000 Base Salary + 3.5% Commission on Gross Sales

We are seeking a highly motivated, technically knowledgeable, and relationship-driven National Sales Representative to sell a wide range of industrial diesel generator systems across the U.S. (and Latin America, if interested). This is a remote, travel-based role focused on selling to end-users, contractors, engineering firms, and resellers in sectors such as manufacturing, utilities, data centers, oil & gas, and infrastructure.
Our product portfolio includes a vast inventory of standby and prime power generators ranging from 20kW to multi-megawatt systems. You’ll represent over 10 different engine platforms including Cummins, CAT, Perkins, Volvo, MTU, John Deere, Mitsubishi, and more—with customizable generator sets, control panels, enclosures, and switchgear.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced power generation sales professional to thrive with an industry-leading inventory, generous commission structure, and full support from logistics, engineering, and installation teams.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow a national book of business by selling industrial diesel and natural gas generator systems.
  • Work with clients to specify power solutions ranging from small commercial sets to multi-megawatt custom packages.
  • Build relationships with EPC firms, electrical contractors, resellers, and facilities teams across diverse industries.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the U.S. and Latin American markets (if desired).
  • Provide accurate quotes, proposals, and technical guidance on generator sizing, compliance, and applications.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, production, and project management teams to fulfill customer specs and timelines.
  • Maintain detailed CRM records and provide sales forecasts and activity updates regularly.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer presentations nationwide.
 
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial generator sales, power generation project sales, or heavy equipment sales.
  • Deep understanding of diesel and/or natural gas generator systems, including OEM brands, engine specs, and application requirements.
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and electrical load profiles.
  • Proven ability to manage long sales cycles and close complex deals involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work remotely while managing a national (and possibly international) territory.
  • Spanish fluency is a plus for Latin American market coverage.
  • Willingness to travel as needed across the U.S. and optionally abroad.
