Description
Role Overview
This role is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding corporate‑level relationships within major convenience‑store chains. The National Account Manager drives strategic growth, builds new corporate programs, and strengthens partnerships across the C‑store channel. Candidates must bring extensive food‑category experience and a proven track record of winning and growing national accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Lead corporate‑level account management for top convenience‑store headquarters.
Identify, develop, and secure new C‑store programs and distribution opportunities.
Build long‑term strategic relationships with senior buyers, category managers, and corporate decision‑makers.
Manage annual business planning, promotional strategy, and category growth initiatives.
Analyze category trends, performance data, and competitive activity to drive recommendations.
Partner with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, finance) to execute customer programs.
Ensure flawless execution of product launches, merchandising, and promotional calendars.
Maintain strong pipeline visibility and deliver consistent revenue growth.
Requirements
Minimum 7+ years of experience in the food category (CPG, foodservice, or branded food products).
Proven success managing national or corporate‑level retail accounts; C‑store experience strongly preferred.
Strong negotiation, relationship‑building, and strategic selling skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, growth‑focused environment.
Willingness to travel for customer meetings and industry events.
Preferably based in Dallas, but open to candidates living remotely in the Midwest.
