National Sales Manager
Working Style:

Our client is an established and growing U.S.-based manufacturer known for delivering premium integrated lighting, power, and connectivity solutions to some of the most recognized hospitality and commercial projects across the country. As the National Sales Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding market presence, cultivating influential industry relationships, and shaping the long-term sales strategy of a company poised for significant growth.

Leadership Profile: We're seeking a strategic sales executive who excels at turning relationships into long-term business growth. The ideal leader is equal parts visionary and connector; someone who can navigate complex sales environments, build credibility with industry decision-makers, and identify opportunities that accelerate market expansion. You'll thrive in this role if you're energized by influencing strategy, opening new markets, cultivating high-value partnerships, and helping lead the continued evolution of a growing organization within the hospitality, commercial interiors, and architectural design industries. 

What You'll Do

  • Lead national business development efforts across hospitality, commercial interiors, and specification-driven markets
  • Develop and manage relationships with hospitality brands, ownership groups, designers, purchasing firms, architects, and furniture manufacturers
  • Identify and expand strategic house-account opportunities
  • Drive specification and project-based sales opportunities nationally
  • Work closely with leadership to develop and execute national sales strategies and market expansion initiatives
  • Collaborate with product development and operations teams to align customer needs with product direction and innovation
  • Assist in the development and management of independent sales representatives and distribution relationships where applicable
  • Represent the company at major trade shows, client meetings, and industry events, including HD Expo, BDNY, NeoCon, LightFair, and other related hospitality/design events
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, competitive products, hospitality brand standards, and emerging market opportunities
  • Help strengthen and further develop the company's presence within the hospitality and architectural specification communities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 7+ years of sales, business development, or commercial leadership experience
  • Experience within hospitality, lighting, architectural products, electrical products, commercial interiors, or related industries strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of developing and growing strategic customer relationships
  • Technical/product familiarity within lighting, power, electrical, or related manufacturing industries preferred
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationally on a regular basis

Travel: This position involves regular national travel for client meetings, trade shows, and business development activities. Estimated travel is approximately 30-50%, depending on location and business needs.
