Job Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking a National Sales Manager on behalf of our client, a premier global food brand and leading consumer packaged goods company. This role will support and manage cross-channel small format distributors, wholesalers, and retailers on a national level. Serving as a key point of contact, this individual will drive growth through strategic account management, data analysis, and execution of customer initiatives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive volume and revenue growth across assigned national accounts using data-driven insights and fact-based selling
  • Develop and implement account-specific strategies aligned with company goals and profitability targets
  • Manage account financials and analyze customer and channel performance trends
  • Conduct detailed sales analysis to identify gaps and uncover growth opportunities
  • Lead and participate in monthly and quarterly business reviews, forecasting, and annual planning
  • Execute core account management functions, including:
    • Customer agreements and contract support
    • New item setup and maintenance
    • Promotional planning and execution
    • Assortment optimization and recommendations
  • Monitor trade and marketing program performance and recommend pricing and promotional strategies
  • Prepare and present performance updates, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, Purchasing, and Logistics teams
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows and customer events
Requirements include:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
Experience:
  • Experience in CPG sales, account management, or a related field preferred
  • Experience working with distributors, wholesalers, or retailers is a plus
Skills:
  • Strong project and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
Certifications:
  • Relevant certifications in sales, business, or analytics are a plus
Knowledge:
  • Understanding of CPG sales processes and account management best practices
  • Knowledge of trade spending, promotional strategies, and financial analysis
  • Familiarity with sales reporting and data-driven decision-making
