National Security Associate (Mid-Senior Level) – Washington, DC
Our client, a global AmLaw 100 law firm, is seeking a mid-senior level Associate to join its National Security Group in Washington, DC. This is an exciting opportunity to represent corporate and individual clients in matters involving national security regulatory frameworks, including OFAC sanctions, ITAR, EAR, FCPA, CFIUS, and AML. The associate will support internal investigations, compliance program development, federal agency interactions, crisis management, and federal court litigation on national security and white collar matters.
The estimated salary range for this position is $390,000 – $400,000 (annually) and may vary depending on experience and other factors.
Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- 6–9 years of relevant legal experience, with meaningful experience in a national security division or agency of the federal government (e.g., DOJ National Security Division, DOD, OFAC, intelligence community, or JAG)
- Familiarity with one or more of the following: OFAC sanctions, FCPA, ITAR/EAR, CFIUS, or AML frameworks
- Active security clearance, particularly TS/SCI, strongly preferred
- Foreign language proficiency is a plus
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials
